Karmalaya Foundation is a Non-Profit-Organization which was founded in 2011 and is supporting and initiating social projects in Nepal. As sustainability is very important to us we are going into depth, not in width. The main focus is on empowering women, ensuring a better future for children especially in rural areas by giving them access to (better) education and of course after the earthquake in 2015 giving aid to people that were affected by the quake.
More than 180 volunteers per year are supporting us in currently around 20 social projects across Nepal, e.g. child care centers, blind hostel for children, helping orphans and disabled children, human- and child-rights, elderly’s home, monastery, farming, building up schools and women empowerment centers.
