Bhagwans Homestay is located in the prime residential area of Basundhara, a district in the northern part of Kathmandu. Away from the main traffic you can enjoy a quiet and familiar atmosphere and have a rest from the busy city. However it is also a good starting point for exploring Kathmandu and all its places of interest as you can reach the main street in just 7 minutes walk. From here you have access to local transportation and taxis to get to all the famous places like Thamel, Boudha Stupa, Swayambhunath (also known as monkey’s temple among tourists), Pashupatinath in about 20 minutes. The airport is also only 5km away and quickly to reach.
At our homestay we are offering accommodation as well as meals. Our guests are treated as part of the family and have the chance to experience the Nepali lifestyle and get insights about the local people, their lifestyle and challenges. If wanted we can also provide guiding to the places of interest in the surrounding area as well as support in organizing tours and activities.
If you plan to visit and explore further places in Nepal we can also offer you homestays at local families in the Chitwan National Park, Pokhara (very close to lakeside) and the villages of Swaragau and Nuwakot (Gaujini).
Accommodation: We are happy to offer accommodation in 2 homestays in Kathmandu which are only a 5 minutes’ walk away from each other.
In the first homestay we have 3 twin bed rooms, 1 triple and 1 single room. The other house offers 2 twin bed rooms and 2 single rooms.
All rooms have shared bathroom (with hot water) and toilet. In summer season fans and mosquito nets can be provided on request.
Meals: We can offer either full- or half board. Half board includes breakfast and dinner, full board additionally includes lunch.
For breakfast we serve pancakes, bread rolls, cereals, jam, honey, chocolate cream, peanut butter, fruits and tea or coffee (as per wish).
